Do you want to learn Spanish in Spain? Here at Escuela Delengua we have just launched a new scholarship for students who have a passion for all things environmental and also want to improve their level of Spanish (B1 being the prerequisite to apply). Sound like you? Read on!
The Spanish, Environment and Sustainability Scholarship lasts 8 weeks and includes accommodation in a shared flat in the centre of Granada as well as two individual 45 minute Spanish classes daily from Monday to Friday at our school, Delengua. The Spanish school situated in the heart of the Albaicín set against the backdrop of beautiful cobbled streets, Arabic tea shops and the rising hills up to the Alhambra.
As well as taking part in Spanish classes, in the afternoon the recipients of the scholarship will commit to 4 hours daily of environmental work, which includes assessing the carbon footprint of Escuela Delengua and implementing changes to areas such as recycling, water wastage and electricity usage, in order to improve the sustainability of the Spanish school. They will also have the amazing opportunity to travel to some of Granada´s most beautiful areas to visit ecological projects and evaluate the sustainability of the region as a whole. Granada benefits from an abundance of both sun and wind, making it the perfect place to exploit renewable resources, in place of traditional fossil fuels. It is also situated next to the Sierra Nevada National Park, an area of stunning ecological beauty, making it the perfect place to apply your passion for environmental sustainability.
And if this wasn’t enough, during the afternoons and evenings students taking part in the Spanish, Environment and Sustainability Scholarship will be able to participate in activities arranged by the Spanish school, which range from visits to the Alhambra; to trying out the countless tapas bars where you will receive free tapas with every drink; to trips to the Costa Tropical, Seville and Cordoba.
This scholarship includes it all: Spanish classes; a roof over your head; environmental work; and the chance to explore the most beautiful city in all of Spain. In other words: what are you waiting for?? Granada and Escuela Delengua are waiting for you!
