While some students study with us at Escuela Delengua for months at a time, many students come for much shorter periods during their holidays. With so much to do in Granada, here is a quick guide to what you could pack into 2 weeks:
On the first Monday of your intensive Spanish course it is really worth getting to know not just the students in your class, but also those in the rest of the school. For that reason our weekly Monday night tapas is the first thing I would recommend. Even if you have been to Granada before, you are sure to discover new bars and find out more about your fellow students over a beer or two.
Visiting the Alhambra is, of course, a must. This staggering piece of architecture is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and it’s not hard to see why. From the beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the city to the intricately decorated walls and ceilings, the Alhambra is visually stunning. At the same time its history is fascinating and provides an insight into the development of Granada. Check our activities page to see if we’re going this week.

The Sierra Nevada and the Costa Tropical are both within an hour’s drive from the centre of Granada. Our weekend activities often include a trip to either of these great places but also to cities such as Seville and Córdoba. Winter in the Sierra Nevada means it’s time to get your skis on while the summer means hiking through spectacular scenery! A favourite activity among our students, which I too would recommend, is visiting one of the local cafes during the morning break for a coffee and tostada (a typical breakfast in Granada!). There really is nothing better than soaking in the sun while practicing your Spanish with new friends!
Granada is full of historical and cultural monuments and during activities here at Escuela Delengua we make the most of them! Everyone has their own aims when it comes to doing a Spanish course with Escuela Delengua in Granada. Some come to improve their Spanish with an intensive Spanish course whilst on holiday, others to prepare for their DELE examination or as part of a school or university group. Si solo tuviera dos semanas en Granada con la Escuela Delengua…
Mientras algunos de nuestros estudiantes en la Escuela Delengua estudian con nosotros un largo periodo de tiempo, otros vienen durante periodos más cortos, en sus vacaciones. Como hay tanto que hacer en Granada, aquí tenéis un guía rápida para ver lo que se puede hacer en 2 semanas:
El primer lunes de tu curso intensivo de español merece la pena conocer no sólo a tus compañeros de clase, pero también a los del resto de la Escuela. Por eso, la primera cosa que recomendaría es nuestra noche de tapas semanal. Aun si has estado alguna vez en Granada, vas a descubrir nuevos bares y conocer mejor a tus compañeros de clase con una caña o dos.
Por supuesto, tienes que visitar la Alhambra. Este palacio tiene una arquitectura impresionante y es uno de los monumentos más visitados en España. Desde los preciosos jardines y las increíbles vistas de la ciudad hasta las paredes y techos decorados intrincadamente, la Alhambra resulta imponente. Al mismo tiempo la historia es fascinante y te da una idea de cómo se ha ido desarrollando Granada. Visita nuestra página de actividades para saber si vamos a la Alhambra esta semana.
Sierra Nevada y la Costa Tropical están a solo una hora del centro de Granada. Nuestras actividades del fin de semana incluyen a menudo excursiones a los dos lugares, pero también a ciudades como Sevilla y Córdoba. Durante el invierno en Sierra Nevada esquiar es muy popular, mientras que en verano es el senderismo por el paisaje impresionante. Sin embargo, si prefieres tomar el sol en la playa, tienes que irte a la Costa Tropical…
Una actividad muy popular entre nuestros estudiantes, y que yo también recomendaría, es visitar una cafetería durante el descanso de cada mañana para tomar un café y una tostada (¡un desayuno típico de Granada!). ¡No hay nada mejor que tomar el sol y practicar tu español con amigos nuevos!
Granada está llena de monumentos históricos y culturales y a través de las actividades de la Escuela Delenga intentamos sacarles el máximo provecho. Cada persona tiene sus propios objetivos al venir a Granada para hacer un curso de español con la Escuela Delengua. Algunos vienen para mejorar su español con un curso intensivo durante sus vacaciones, otros para preparar su examen de DELE o como parte de su colegio o universidad. Sea por la razón que sea, en sólo dos semanas podrás disfrutar de lo mejor de Granada y sus alrededores.
