Every student who takes an intensive Spanish course at Escuela Delengua in Granada will of course all have their own unique experience, but something we hope everyone shares is the feeling that they all had a great time!
We spoke to some Escuela Delengua students to find out what their best moments were in Granada…
My favourite part of being at Delengua has to be the activities. We’ve been to the Alhambra, for great tapas and even to the beach! Tapas on a Monday is always really good fun as we get to know all the new students that arrive at the Spanish School. This week we went on a ‘ruta de tapas’ around the city centre which was a bit different and meant we discovered lots of really nice places we didn’t know existed!

For me the city of Granada itself is the best part. I live in the Albaicín and I just love the winding streets, the music playing in the plazas and the seemingly undiscovered corners that looks as if they’ve been there forever. The school is really close to where I live which is great and just next to my house is the mirador San Nicolas from which you can see the Alhambra. It is quite a sight when it’s lit up at night!

For me, the best part is how much I’ve learnt in such a short space of time! It’s taken a lot of studying (and a lot of time spent chatting over tapas) but I feel a lot more confident when I’m speaking Spanish now. I’ve really enjoyed the classes; the teachers really cater to the needs of each gorup and they make learning Spanish really fun!
The best part of my stay here has to be meeting so many amazing people from all over the world. In the time I’ve been here I’ve made friends from as far away as South Korea, Australia, Brazil and the USA! Finding out the different ways people do things is always fascinating and I’ve learnt some amazing things… Like did you know that in Italy touching your cheek with your index finger means you enjoyed your food?!

Lo que más me gustó de hacer un curso de español en la Escuela Delengua en Granada, España
Cada estudiante que haga un curso intensivo de español con la Escuela Delengua en Granada tendrá, por supuesto, su propia única experiencia, pero lo que esperamos que todos compartan es la sensación de haberse divertido.
Hemos hablado con algunos estudiantes de Delengua para que nos contaran sus mejores experiencias en Granada…
La mejor parte de mi estancia con Delengua fueron las actividades. ¡Fuimos a la Alhambra, de tapas, y aún a la playa! Las tapas del lunes siempre son muy divertidas porque tenemos la oportunidad de conocer a todos los nuevos estudiantes que han llegado a la Escuela. Esta semana hicimos una ‘ruta de tapas’ por el centro de la ciudad, que fue algo diferente y nos hizo descubrir muchos lugares muy buenos que nunca habíamos visitado.
En mi opinión, el mejor aspecto es la ciudad misma. Vivo en el Albaicín y me encantan las calles serpenteantes, la música en las plazas y los misteriosos rincones que parecen ser intemporales. La Escuela está situada muy cerca de donde vivo, y a un paso de mi casa hay el mirador de San Nicolás, de donde se puede ver la Alhambra. De noche, cuando está iluminada, ¡es un espectáculo!
Para mí, la mejor parte es lo mucho que he aprendido dentro de muy poco tiempo. He tenido que estudiar mucho (y charlar mucho con amigos cuando fuimos de tapas), pero ahora me siento mucho más seguro cuando hablo español. Me encantaron las clases; Los profesores atienden las diferentes necesidades de cada grupo, ¡y hacen que el aprendizaje del español sea muy divertido!
El mejor aspecto de mi estancia aquí en Granada es sin dudas el haber encontrado a tanta gente estupenda que viene de todas partes del mundo. Durante mis días en Granada he hecho amigos de lejanas tierras como Corea del Sur, Australia, Brasil y los EEUU. Siempre es fascinante descubrir las culturas y perspectivas diferentes de la gente, y he aprendido muchas cosas nuevas… Por ejemplo, ¿sabíais que en Italia, tocarse la mejilla con el índice significa que has comido bien?
