| La llegada del islam a la Península en el siglo XI, duraba más o menos cuatro siglos. Todavía hoy se ve la influencia del pueblo árabe, un pueblo tan diferente a los romanos. Sobre todo Andalucía tiene un aspecto muy obvio en la arquitectura de los árabes. Quizás porque los árabes se quedaron durante más tiempo en el antiguo Al-Andalus. Los Mozárabes, los Mudéjares y los Moriscos son, aparte de la arquitectura bonita, los últimos vestigios de las épocas árabes.
Mozárabe hace referencia al nombre bajo al que se conocía a los cristianos que vivían bajo el dominio nazarí en Al-Andalus. Los Mozárabes eran tolerados por los musulmanes y formaban un grupo junto con los Judíos. Los Moriscos, como tercer grupo árabe, eran los musulmanes españoles que fueron bautizados bajo el reinado de los Reyes Católicos en el siglo XVI. Sobre todo en el sur de España se encuentra todavía hoy los descendientes de este grupo. The arrival of the Islam in the 11th century lasted about four centuries. Still today you can see the influence of the arab folk, a people so different to the romans. Mainly Andalusia has an obvious aspect of the arabic architecture. Maybe because the arabs stayed the longest time in the antigue Al-Andalus. The “Mozárabes”, the “Mudéjares” and the “Moriscos” are, besides the nice architecture, the last reminders of the arabic era.
“Mozárabe” refers to the name, under which they knew the christians who lived under the Nasrid dominion in Al-Andalus. The “Mozárabes” were tolerated by the Muslims and built a group together with the Jues. The “Moriscos”, as third arabic group, were spanish Muslims who were baptized under the Catholic Kings in the 16th century.
