| El Pluscuamperfecto expresa acontecimientos y acciones que han ocurrido antes de otra acción pasada. Se llama también el pretérito pasado, porque las acciones ya están terminadas.
El Pluscuamperfecto se forma con el auxiliar haber en la forma adecuada del imperfecto más el participio del verbo principal. Por ejemplo: Cuando llegué a la estación el tren ya había salido. Julieta ha dejado de estudiar en la universidad porque había suspendido sus exámenes muchas veces. The Pluperfect expresses events or actions that occured in the past and furthermore before another already ocurred action. It’s also called the Past Perfect, because the actions which it describes already ar finished. You build the Past Perfect with the auxiliar verb haber in the appropriate form of the Imperfect plus the Past Participle of the main verb. For example in the following sentences: Cuando llegué a la estación el tren ya había salido/ When I arrived at the train station, the train already had left. Julieta ha dejado de estudiar en la universidad porque había suspendido de sus examenes muchas veces/ Julieta left university because she had failed her exams several times.
