Con ALSA por España/ Travelling with Alsa in Spain.

Viajar por España es una pregunta que cada turista o estudiante de Escuela Delengua hace, porque cuando la gente viene a Granada durante más de dos semanas, quiere visitar también Andalucía o España. Así algunos estudiantes tienen clases durante dos semanas, se van una semana a Barcelona, Madrid o Sevilla y luego regresan para seguir con varias semanas de clase.

Depende adónde queráis ir, hay varios medios de transporte. Si queréis visitar Madrid o Barcelona, el mejor medio es el avión, con compañías muy baratas como Vueling o precios especiales de Iberia.
Si queréis ir por Andalucía, el autobús es el medio más práctico y utilizado por los españoles. El tren, al contrario que otros países como Francia o Alemania no está muy desarrollado y cuesta más que un viaje en el que se tarda lo mismo en autobús. Sólo hay una excepción: El AVE, que puede unir Sevilla con Madrid en 2 horas.

Entonces, dentro de Andalucía, hay que utilizar el autobús. Es lo que hacemos cuando vamos de excursión con Escuela Delengua.
La red de autobuses es muy buena, y la compañía más presente es ALSA, que tiene muchos autobuses casi nuevos, con cinturones de seguridad. Las estaciones son numerosas y bien organizadas en España, la de Granada por ejemplo es nueva, y la red es muy extensa.
Así, en autobús, se puede ir  desde Granada a Sevilla en 3h, a Córdoba en 2h30, a Málaga en 1h45 y a Salobreña, la playa mas cerca de Granada, en 1h.

Hay conexiones con toda Europa, incluso con Chequia, Francia, Italia, Ucrania… Las posibilidades son numerosas para viajar barato.

Travelling through Spain is a question that both tourists and students of Delengua language school have to decide, because when  staying for more than two weeks in Granada, they also want to discover Andalusia or Spain. Some students have a two week Spanish course, and then spend a week in Barcelona, Sevilla or Madrid, eventually  coming back for a few more weeks of classes in Granada.

Depending where you want to go, there is a variety of  transport to choose from. If you want to visit Madrid or Barcelona, your best option is to travel by plane: using cheap companies like Vueling or the special offers from Iberia.
If you want to travel through Andalusia, the bus is the easiest and most practical. The train, contrary to Germany or France, is not very well developed and is more expensive than travelling by bus for the sameamount of travel time. There is just one exception: the AVE, the most rapid train in Spain, which links Sevilla and Madrid in 2 hours.

So, in Andalusia, you have to use the bus. That’s what we do when we go on trips with Escuela Delengua.

The bus network is very efficient and extended, the ALSA company which owns a lot of buses, almost all new and with seat belts, is the most commonly used. There are a lot of bus stations in Spain and they are well organised, for instance Granada’s and Cordoba’s are new with an extensive network of bus routes.
So by bus you can go from Granada to Sevilla in 3 hours, to Cordoba in 2h30, to Malaga in 1h45 and to Salobreña, the closest beach from Granada, in 1h.

There are conections with the whole of  Europe, including the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Ukraine…There are a lot of ways to travel cheaply.

Las Lenguas Romances/ The Romance Languages

Las lenguas romances (español, italiano, rumano, portugués, catalán, etc.) son una rama de los idiomas indoeuropeos y aparecían como evolución del latín vulgar. El latín vulgar era el lenguaje del latín clásico (que sólo se utilizaba para escribir)  y se hablaba en las provincias del Imperio Romano. La lenguas romances empezaron siendo dialectos regionales del latín vulgar y se desarrollaron a lenguas propias. Se hablaba, y se sigue hablando estas lenguas, en el sur europeo del antiguo Imperio Romano, por eso este territorio recibía el nombre de la Romania.

Las lenguas romances están en oposición con otras familias de idiomas como el fráncico en Francia o las lenguas germánicas. Aunque estos territorios también pertenecían al Imperio Romano los idiomas siguieron otra evolución histórica. Pero hasta que se pudo hablar de lenguas de verdad, en comparación a variedades o dialectos, las lenguas romances se desarrollaron durante mucho tiempo.

Entre los siglos II y IV sobresalían las primeras formas diferentes del latín vulgar. En los siguientes 200 años estas formas se distinguían en variedades o dialectos diferentes. Desde el siglo VIII se puede hablar de la existencia de lenguas romances. La primera prueba escrita del término romano tiene su origen en el año 813.

Aunque las lenguas romances presentan evoluciones divergentes se han desarrollado a partir de la misma lengua y todavía tienen características parecidas. The Romance languages (Spanish, Italian, Rumanian, Portuguese, Catalan, etc.) are a branch of the indoeuropean languages and are the evolution of the vulgar Latin. The vulgar Latin was the spoken language based on the classic Latin (which was only used as written language) and was spoken in the provinces of the Roman Empire. The Romance languages started as regional dialects of the vulgar Latin and developed to own languages. They spoke, they still speak, these languages in the europan south of the antigue Roman Empire, that’s why this territory received the name The Romania.

The Romance languages are in conflict with other language families like the francophone frenchmen or the Germanic languages. Although these territories were also part of the Roman Empire, these languages run another historical developement. But if you could call them real languages, in comparison to varieties or dialects, the Romance languages had to develope during lots of time.

Between the 2nd and 4th century developed the first different forms of the vulgar Latin. In the following two centuries these forms changed to varieties or dialects. Since the 8th century you can talk about the existence of the Romance languages. The first written proof of the term romance can be dated to the year 813.

Although the Romance languages represent different evolutions, they developed of the same language and still have similar characteristics. Actividades en Sierra Nevada/ Activities in Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada ofrece muchas actividades, tanto en invierno como en verano. Vamos a hablar más específicamente sobre esta temporada.
Por supuesto, puedes hacer senderismo, pero hemos dedicado un artículo sobre el senderismo en  Sierra Nevada.
Existen muchas mas actividades como por ejemplo el BTT o la escalada.

El BTT se puede practicar fácilmente por Sierra Nevada, en efecto hay muchas rutas que se ajustan muy bien a las exigencias de este deporte. Permite descubrir  Sierra Nevada de otra manera, más rápida que el senderismo, con más sensaciones de libertad. ¡No sólo es un deporte para los profesionales! También se puede practicar en familia porque las rutas tienen todos los niveles. Si no tienes un BTT, no hay problema: se puede alquilar para medio día o un día entero, con un precio muy atractivo.

Otra actividad es la escalada, que permite descubrir aspectos de la montaña muy impresionantes y de probar sus límites. No sólo hay muros muy altos, se puede hacer una iniciación a este deporte con un club de escalada, que ofrece toda la seguridad y que tranquiliza a la gente. Es un deporte que se puede practicar en un rocódromo o en muros naturales, depende de tu nivel.
Luego hay actividades mas “extremas” como el trek o actividades de “aventura”.
Por ejemplo, podemos hacer el descenso del Río Verde, llamado también “canyoning”. Con un grupo de 10 personas y durante 6 horas, pasas por las aguas esmeraldas de los ríos de Sierra Nevada, descubriendo paisajes maravillosos, haciendo subir la adrenalina…

También puedes probar el trekking: andar por caminos muy largos y difíciles durante varios días para ver las cumbres más altas… ¡Existen deportes para todos los gustos! Para más información o proponer excursiones en Sierra Nevada, puedes preguntar en la Escuela de español Delengua.

The Sierra Nevada offers lots of activities,  in winter as well as in the summer. We are going to have a look at what it has to offer at this time of the year.
Of course, you can go hiking, but we have already talked about this  in a previous article.
There are numerous activities as for instance mountain bike or climbing.

You can go mountain biking  easily in the Sierra Nevada, there are a lot of roads that suit all types of mountain bikers. You can discover the  Sierra Nevada in a different way, much  quicker than hiking and with a greater feeling of freedom. This is not just a sport for professionals! You can also practice as a family because the many different routes accommodate for all levels. If you don’t have a mountain bike, do not worry:  you can rent one for half or a whole day cheaply.

Another activity is climbing that allows you discover very spectacular views  of the mountains meanwhile testing your limits. If high walls scare you, you can do an initiation in a climbing club that offers  security and helps to reassure people. You can practice climbing on a climbing wall or on natural walls, it depends of your level.
Then there are more “extreme” activities, such as trekking or “adventure activities”. Among them, you can do the down river of Rio Verde, also called “canyoning”. With a group of 10 people and for 6 hours, you go through the emerald waters of Sierra Nevada, discovering wonderful landscapes and experiencing adrenaline rushes…

You can also try trekking: which involves walking through very long and difficult mountain roads for a few days to see the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada.
