Recuerdo cuando estábamos en la noche de las siete maravillas en el centro de Granada esperando los resultados y la gente se puso muy triste porque la Alhambra no fue elegida entre las siete maravillas. Pues, después de haberla visto, yo tampoco puedo entender eso. Si vienes a Granada y no visitas la Alhambra te pierdes la cosa más bonita de aquí. Pero no es suficiente si solamente vas a la Alhambra y ves la vista de Granada. Hay que saber también un poco de la historia: sobre el dominio de los moros, sobre Carlos V, el castillo, la historia de Generalife, etc. ¡Para que puedas disfrutar cada pequeño componente de la maravilla! ¡Y en verano construyen en el jardín de Generalife un escenario y ponen espectáculos! El fin de semana pasado también organizaron un espectáculo de García Lorca, Poeta en Nueva York. ¡Era una pieza muy espectacular y los actores bailaban de una manera increíble! Especialmente me gustó mucho la parte en la que mostraban la vida de la noche en Nueva York, y los actores pintaban paredes blancas con color rojo cómo si fuera sangre. ¡Después, el baile debajo del agua fue también fenómeno!

I remember the night when we were out in Granada waiting for the results of the seven world wonders and the people were so disappointed when the Alhambra wasn’t elected among them. Well, after I have seen it, I couldn’t understand it either. If you come to Granada and you don’t go to visit the Alhambra you miss out on seeing the greatest thing here. Altough it’s not enough if you only go to the Alhambra and enjoy the view of Granada. You should also get to know a bit about the history: about the reign of the mors, Carlos V., the castel and the history of the Generalife etc. So that you can enjoy every single detail of the wonder! In summer they build a stage in the garden of Generalife and they perform revues! Last weekend they organized a revue from García Lorca with the title “The Poet in New York”. It was a very spectacular play and the actors were dancing in an incredible way! I liked especially the part when they showed a spot of the criminal nightlife of New York and the actors painted white walls with red colour like it was blood. They were also perfoming a dance under the water which was just sensational! |
